Plant Trees/ Planta Árboles / Planta Árvores

Images by: GreenPop Facebook

Do you want to make the difference in the world? Why don't you plant a tree? It is a simple thing that could change our planet and eventually your life!

You don't know how to do it? Why don't you get some inspiration from these causes?

In Portugal, we have the example of the water brand "Serra da Estrela. This project started in 2002, when we had one of the biggest forest destructions devastate the "Serra da Estrela" Mountain, caused by fire.

So, the "Serra da Estrela" water brand started this project in partnership with "Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e das Floresta" (Institute for Nature and Forest Preservation), with "Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela" (Serra da Estrela Natural Park) and with "Público" newspaper, where, by consuming the water, customers and consumers could turn this consumption into planting trees, assured by the Natural Park.

This project ended in 2010, but the water brand "Serra da Estrela" wanst to find other ways to invite portuguese consumers to keep up the reforestation.

Why don't you give your ideia for reforestation at "Serra da Estrela" site

But you have other examples! Like this international one: GreenPop. If you love to travel, you have to know the project "Trees for Zambia".

It's a 3-week tree planting event, with the aim of reforestation and eco-awareness. This project awares about deforestation, climate change, tree planting, environmental sustainability and alternative energy sources. You can go to this Festival of Action on June 15-July 6 2014.

Why don't we do a tree planting Festival at Portugal, also? Let´s think about it...
